An application designed for textiles management of hospitals and medical centres
that own medical textile articles and sanitize them in their own (On Premises Laundry) or external laundry units.
KTS Cloud for Hospitals uniquely identifies the medical textiles, their location, traceability, inventory is done in real time. Access to all this information is available online.
Through the Security module, KTS Cloud for Hospitals monitors the use of textiles in a permitted area and guarantees the recovery of medical textiles that leave this area (the missing textiles).
Challenges for textiles management in hospitals
Hospitals that own textiles manage the items by departments. Within each department, the head nurse is usually in charge of the textile management.
Each department responsible must carefully count the soiled textiles and draw up a collection list by department. This happens in the hospital. Both the soiled textiles and the list are then handed over to the laundry representative. Each department responsible wants to receive clean textiles without them being mixed between departments. This applies to all the departments of the hospital.
In the laundry (own or external unit), the reception of soiled textiles cannot be done by manually counting or touching the items due to the epidemiological risk.
On the sanitizing flow of textiles, it is impossible, without identification, to avoid mixing the textiles. Because of this, the regrouping of textiles by sections after sanitization is done with difficulty and with high errors and costs.
We have the solution for these challenges!
The solution to these problems is to uniquely identify each textile item by attaching RFID tags to the textiles. The KTS Cloud software platform makes it possible to identify textiles by scanning with RFID readers, storing data in the Cloud, and making reports available online in real-time.
